THE STARTER REPORTED: a) VIRGINIA BEACH (C Habib) and MIST IN SCOTLAND (M K Katjedi) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) ORIENTAL BOUQUET (L Nhlapo) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. c) GOLDEN ASPEN (M van Rensburg) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, GLOBAL THUNDER (*G Samo-Burthia), GOLDEN ASPEN (M van Rensburg) and GLAWARI (J Penny) suffered varying degrees of interference on the outside of VIRGINIA BEACH (C Habib), which jumped sharply outwards leaving the stalls. b) Shortly after the start, GREEN FLASH (G Lerena) was carried out by MIST IN SCOTLAND (M K Katjedi), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) Apprentice G Samo-Burthia, the rider of GLOBAL THUNDER, rode a satisfactory qualifying ride. d) GREEN FLASH (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Warren advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) GREEN FLASH: Jockey G Lerena weighed out at 55,7kg, 1kg over the carded weight as declared. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) ORIENTAL BOUQUET raced without ear muffs (declared 15 August 2024 at 16H24). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) MIST IN SCOTLAND abnormal respiratory noise. b) GOLDEN ASPEN coughing post race. c) ORIENTAL BOUQUET cast its right front shoe in running.
