EVA EILEEN reared in the stalls, was taken out, examined by the veterinary surgeon and declared fit to race, causing a delay.TRAVETIRE jumped slow, losing one length.In view of the report from the Starter regarding EVA EILEEN (K de Melo), Trainer PP Kruyer will be advised to have this filly re schooled before her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.At the 400m, when attempting a narrow run on the inside of FUTURISTIC DAME (L Mxothwa), WHITE LACE (*S Mbhele) and FUTURISTIC DAME (L Mxothwa) were momentarily cramped for galloping room for a number of strides when THE VOW (R Fourie) rolled in slightly off the heels of O SOLE MIO (A Andrews) to continue his run.This resulted in FUTURISTIC DAME (L Mxothwa) having to steady off the heels of THE VOW (R Fourie),losing position. Jockey R Fourie appeared before the Board and was advised to take stronger corrective measures to straighten his mounts in future when shifting ground.Jockey R Fourie was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 ,in that he struck THE VOW more than 12 times in the entire race. Jockey Fourie signed an admission of guilt and was fined R 1000,00.Jockey G Behr was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 in that he struck FORGET O'GIRLS more than 12 times in the entire race. Jockey Behr signed an admission of guilt and was fined R 1000,00.WHITE LACE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
