THE STARTER REPORTED: a) EARLY EDITION (C Maujean) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) CLIFFIE CLAVIN (M van Rensburg) over-raced in the early stages. b) FAR REACHING (S Khumalo) hung out from the 300m. c) An inquiry will be opened into Jockey G Lerena's (HEROIC ACT) crop use at approximately the 300m. d) Jockey C Habib was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (Appendix E read with Guideline 3 on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking ROYAL MIRACLE forward of the saddle in the concluding stages.
