THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process, the bridle on KAMCHATKA (C Orffer), which was fractious behind the stalls and stubborn loading, came adrift and had to be re-fitted, causing a delay. b) MAI SENSATION (JP van der Merwe) jumped inwards. c) ALEX DUBOIS (J Solomons) jumped outwards and was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start GOLDEN ANGEL (C Zackey) raced in restricted galloping room on the inside of KAMCHATKA (C Orffer), which was bumped inwards by MAI SENSATION (JP van der Merwe), which jumped inwards. b) Leaving the 1000m KAMCHATKA (C Orffer) commenced to over race and had to be steadied when close to the heels of NOODSBERG (R Khathi). c) At the 400m LITTLE LEXI (L Mxothwa), which initially shifted inwards and POETIC PRINCESS (A Andrews), which shifted out away from WILD APPLAUSE (G van Niekerk), brushed. d) WILD APPLAUSE (G van Niekerk) was hanging out from the 200m. e) GOLDEN ANGEL (C Zackey) raced green. f) In view of the report from the Starter regarding KAMCHATKA (C Orffer), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 01/09/2024 to 07/09/2024 inclusive). KAMCHATKA may not be presented for re-passing during this period. g) MAI SENSATION, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer L Woodruff was advised.
