THE STARTER REPORTED: a) COLD BREEZE (K Steyn) was fractious behind the stalls and stubborn loading. b) GREEDANDDESIRE (M Mjoka) was restless in the stalls. c) BERRY'S BOOGIE (AUS) (C Orffer) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The Starter reported that the back gate of starting stall number 5 was not yet in working order. Horses drawn five and upwards were loaded one draw upward, relative to their respective draws. b) TAP SHOES (G van Niekerk) raced green. c) In view of the debut performance of TENNILLE (C Zackey), which trailed the field throughout, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) In view of the report from the Starter regarding COLD BREEZE (K Steyn), Trainer AN Marcus will be advised to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. e) Jockey G Wright was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the carded weight on COLD BREEZE, or at the higher weight confirmed in his engagement with the Trainer, which resulted in a change of rider. Jockey G Wright signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1 000.00. f) I'M SO PRITTI, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised.
