THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MISS PLATINA (S Khumalo), SAFE AND SOUND (M Yeni) and GRANDI ORECCHIE (M V'Rensburg) lost 1 length. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Apprentice M Mbuto (JOLLICICATION) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. e) Jockey A Mgudlwa signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (Appendix E; Guideline M) in that as the rider of PETIT VERDOT, he misused his crop by striking this mare more than twelve times (13) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race.
