THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ARIEL'S JET (G Lerena) jumped inwards sharply leaving the stalls. b) SILVER FLARE (P Mxoli) was squeezed out shortly after the start. c) AVOONTOAST (P Strydom) stumbled shortly after start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, SILVER FLARE (P Mxoli) was squeezed out when awkwardly placed between AVOONTOAST (P Strydom) and ARIEL'S JET (G Lerena), which jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. b) Jockey N Klink reported that he felt something amiss with SOLO DIVA in running and eased this mare out of the race the 400m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) I AM REGAL (M Yeni), dead-heat winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis (MduP). d) SNEAK PREVIEW (K A Brewer), dead-heat winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M N Houdalakis advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) EYE CATCHING raced with a tongue tie on (declared 9 September 2024 at 08H45).
