THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KINGDOM OF HEAVEN (S Veale) and TIRPITZ (K Minnie) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 100m DESTINY'S ANGEL (C Zackey), which shifted outwards away from the crop, made slight contact with DOWSER (L Mxothwa). Jockey C Zackey was advised to take the necessary corrective measures to ensure he does not hinder any other horses in races. b) In view of the performance of KINGDOM OF HEAVEN (S Veale) (Betting 3/1; Distance 8.35 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Jockey S Veale appeared before the Board and was questioned with regard to him not riding his mount out from the 250m. He explained that this gelding had felt lethargic from the start and that his attempts to pick it up and ride it hard in the straight had been unsuccessful as this gelding had failed to respond to his urgings in the straight. Trainer K Mitchley was advised to report back should she find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables. c) DOWSER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
