THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BOCCIOLO (C Maujean) lost 2 lengths. b) SUN IN MY POCKET (S Moodley) threw its head up as the start was effected losing 4 lengths, thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 800m ONE PATH (M Yeni) was inconvenienced when close to the heels of HURRICANE CAT (D Daniels) which rolled in. Jockey D Daniels appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear of other runners when shifting ground in races in future. b) BOCCIOLO (C Maujean) hung out from the 350m. c) HURRICANE CAT (D Daniels) hung out from the 200m. d) Jockey R Venniker reported that she felt something amiss in the running with LIGHTINTHEDARKNESS. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In view of the Starter's report with regard to SUN IN MY POCKET (S Moodley), this filly's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 19.09.2024 to the 25.09.2024. SUN IN MY POCKET may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Assistant Trainer J Wickham acting on behalf of Trainer W Whitehead was advised. (SL) f) HURRICANE CAT (D Daniels), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
