THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LOVE TAP (J Penny) and SILVER FLARE (P Mxoli) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, ONE RELIGION (G Lerena), which rolled in, clipped the heels of FAR REACHING (P Strydom), which rolled out. b) Approaching the 1200m, SILVER PARASOL (M Yeni) was steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed on the heels of ONE RELIGION (G Lerena). c) Jockey G Lerena reported that ONE RELIGION did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) INCREDIBLE INDRANI was selected for the taking of specimens for TCO2 testing. The first specimen revealed a level of over 35 TCO2 mmol/L. Trainer F P Habib was advised that, in terms of the Procedure for Total Carbon Dioxide (TCO2) analysis on Raceday, a second blood specimen would be collected. Trainer F P Habib was informed that the second blood specimen had revealed a level above the threshold of 37 mmol/L and that consequently INCREDIBLE INDRANI was scratched from this race in terms of the provisions of Rules 72.1.23; 4.2.14 and 4.2.18 (Withdrawn at 14H19, 16/1 in the betting). INCREDIBLE INDRANI was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer F P Habib was advised (Mr L Anderson). e) HAT'S QUEEN (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A P Peter advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) FAR REACHING was ridden by Jockey P Strydom (declared 23 September 2024 at 12H36). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None.
