THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PALO QUEEN (*J Botes) broke through the front of the stalls, cantered a short distance, returned to the start, was examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded. b) BE MERRY (R Fourie) was restless in the stalls. c) EASY MONEY (D Schwarz) jumped outwards. d) PUSHING LIMITS (C Orffer) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) PUSHING LIMITS (C Orffer) was bumped when EASY MONEY (D Schwarz) jumped outwards leaving the stalls and as a consequence, raced tight for a number of strides between EASY MONEY (D Schwarz) and SUGARY SWEET (S Moodley). b) PALO QUEEN (*J Botes) raced wide throughout. c) Jockey A Domeyer reported that LOVE SHACK did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) BE MERRY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
