The start of this Race was delayed due to the delay in the previous Race.
THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) FA SO LA TI DO (*J Botes), BALTIC ASSAYER (D Daniels) and PERFECTLY PICKED (C Habib) lost one length.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a) OUR LADY FATE (M V'Rensburg) failed to parade in front of the grandstand. Trainer R Hill will be advised that should this filly behave in a similar manner in future, it may be suspended.
b) Leaving the starting stalls, SYRIAN STEEL (M Yeni) was bumped on two occasions by GUARD MY FATE (C Maujean) which was carried in by OUR LADY FATE (M V'Rensburg) which jumped inwards.
c) As the pace of the Race gradually slowed in the middle stages, GUARD MY FATE (C Maujean) and QUEEN AMINA (C Zackey) commenced to over-race.
d) Approaching the 1400m, GRAND OCCASION (R Venniker) ran onto and clipped the heels of GUARD MY FATE (C Maujean).
e) FEATHER DANCER (C Dicken) brushed the inside running rail shortly before entering the final straight.
f) At the 350m, BALTIC ASSAYER (D Daniels) was switched to the outside of PERFECTLY PICKED (C Habib) to obtain a clear run.
g) WALKIE TALKIE (A Mgudlwa) was hanging in from the 300m.
h) Approaching the 200m, HURRICANE FLIGHT (S Moodley) was carried in by QUEEN AMINA (C Zackey) which rolled in. Thereafter, at the 150m, HURRICANE FLIGHT (S Moodley) and in turn SYRIAN STEEL (M Yeni) were carried in by QUEEN AMINA (C Zackey) which again rolled in.
i) SYRIAN STEEL (M Yeni) was hanging out around the turn.
j) In the concluding stages, Jockey C Habib (PERFECTLY PICKED) accidentally dropped his left side rein which he regained shortly thereafter.
k) In view of the performance of GUARD MY FATE (C Maujean) (17.50 lengths, 50/1 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
l) QUEEN AMINA (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer R A Hill advised (DZ).

a) FEATHER DANCER raced equipped with blinkers (advised 26.09.24/7h19).
b) DYNASTY'S LAST raced with a tongue tie (advised 27.09.24/10h18).
c) SYRIAN STEEL raced equipped with blinkers (advised 26.09.24/8h30).
