THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DESTINY'S ANGEL (C Zackey) was nervous in the stalls and rushed the front gates. b) MO THE MAN (L Mxothwa), TIRPITZ (K Minnie) and PEDRO (C Maujean) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) DESTINY'S ANGEL (C Zackey) recorded a TCO2 concentration of more than 36 mmol/L. Trainer GD Smith was advised that a second blood specimen would be collected. This specimen was of an acceptable TCO2 level. b) MEETATTHEWINDSOR (R Fourie) recorded a TCO2 concentration of more than 36 mmol/L. Trainer AC Greeff was advised that a second blood specimen would be collected. This specimen was of an acceptable TCO2 level. c) DANCINGTOTHELIGHT (K Matsunyane) over raced in the early and middle stages. d) Jockey K Minnie reported that TIRPITZ changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) DESTINY'S ANGEL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
