THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process, TREE FAIRY (*G Dookhit) became restless in the stalls, pre-empted the start and broke through the front gates, was restrained by Apprentice G Dookhit, returned to the start, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded. b) FRANCILIEN (G Lerena) jumped inwards. c) WE WILL ROCK YOU (*T Mayhew) jumped outwards. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) As the start was effected, WE WILL ROCK YOU (*T Mayhew) jumped awkwardly outwards and made contact with the left front gate when exiting the stalls. b) As the start was effected, TREE FAIRY (*G Dookhit) was brushed in by FRANCILIEN (G Lerena), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) Apprentice G Dookhit (TREE FAIRY) rode a satisfactory qualifying ride. d) In view of the report from the Starter regarding TREE FAIRY (*G Dookhit), this mare's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 11/10/2024 to 17/10/2024 inclusive). TREE FAIRY may not be presented for re-passing during this period. e) FRANCILIEN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer MN Houdalakis was advised.
