THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SANBEENEE (M Thackeray) lost 1 length. b) CAVALRY BROWN (T Godden) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 1200m FATE DECREED (M Yeni) had to ease when awkwardly placed on the heels of LA VIDA LOCA (*J Botes) which shifted in. Apprentice J Botes signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to FATE DECREED (M Yeni) at the 1200m. Accordingly, a penalty of a suspension from riding in races for a period of 7 days was imposed. (Suspension dates to be advised). b) An Inquiry will be opened in order to establish why LA VIDA LOCA (*J Botes) had to ease at the 900m. c) At the 400m LADYOFDISTINCTION (R A Venniker) was carried out marginally by ONE PATH (G Lerena) which rolled out. d) Jockey T Godden reported that CAVALRY BROWN made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Jockey G Lerena reported that ONE PATH did not stride out freely in the running.
