THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BIRTHRIGHT (C Habib), HAZLO GRANDE (P Mxoli) and WHISPERS OF WAR (AUS) (M van Rensburg) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) EIGER SANCTION (M Yeni) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) As the start was effected, EIGER SANCTION (M Yeni) clipped the heels of LEAO ALADO (D De Gouveia), which was carried out by BIRTHRIGHT (C Habib), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) At approximately the 1500m, DOUGLAS DRAGON (J Penny) was carried out by BIRTHRIGHT (C Habib), which commenced to over-race. c) Leaving the 300m, DOUGLAS DRAGON (J Penny) was carried out by LEAO ALADO (D De Gouveia), which was directed outwards off the heels of BIRTHRIGHT (C Habib) to continue its run. d) Jockey M Yeni reported that EIGER SANCTION took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. e) Jockey P Mxoli reported that HAZLO GRANDE took no interest in running.
