ARIKEL (R Simons) was restless in the stalls.NYMERIA (D L Habib) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls.QUEEN OF WAR was slow losing four lengths. The Starting Stall Certificate for this mare has
been withdrawn.PHILOMENA (S Khumalo) broke through the front gates, was restrained by the Handler, returned to start, examined by the Course Veterinary Surgeon and reloaded. As a result of this MISTRESSOFMYFATE nudged the front gate open. Trainer B D Botes was advised to re-school PHILOMENA prior to her next engagement (PHvdW).THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:In view of the Starter's report with regard to QUEEN OF WAR, this mare has been suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until recertified tractable jumping on terms with a companion on a raceday. Suspension dates: 10 January 2020 to 16 January 2020.QUEEN OF WAR may not be presented for repassing during this period. Trainer G J Maroun advised .ARIKEL (R Simons) hung in from the 300m.Jockey R Munger reported that he felt something amiss with MOGGIE BROWN in
running.The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare.
The saddle on QUEEN OF WAR slipped sideways in running.This was confirmed by a Stipendiary Steward.CLAREMORRIS (R Danielson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee J Dhlamini advised.CLAREMORRIS was ridden by Jockey R Danielson who weighed out at 54,9kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight.QUEEN OF WAR raced equipped with blinkers.NYMERIA Jockey D L Habib weighed out at 56,7kg, 1kg over the carded weight of which 0,5kg was declared.The veterinary surgeon reported:MOGGIE BROWN stirrup rub.NYMERIA lame right front.
