THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PITON DE NEIGE (*DB Geerthsen) rushed the front gates of the stalls, was taken out, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded. Thereafter, PITON DE NEIGE (*DB Geerthsen) fly-jumped leaving the stalls. b) LADY MAJORCA (D Schwarz) was nervous in the stalls and rushed the front gates. c) DAWN OF GOLD (C Maujean) jumped awkwardly and thereafter was slow into stride. d) BOSNAY (M van Rensburg), HAVANA GREY (C Habib) and JAMBO SANA (C Zackey) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) LA PEQUENITA failed to muster speed in the early stages and raced detached from the field throughout. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) KOMESANS PASSION (Y Ramzan) was hanging in from the 250m. c) HAVANA GREY (C Habib) had to steady and shift outwards to avoid the heels of ELUSIVE HUNTER (E Webber), which shifted inwards at approximately the 600m. Jockey E Webber appeared before the Board and was advised to take stronger corrective measures to keep his mount on a straight course in similar circumstances. d) JAMBO SANA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
