GOLD DRIFFIN (*L J Ferraris) and DON PIERRO (AUS) (M Mjoka) lost one length.FLAME FELLA (G Lerena) lost three lengths. Trainer R R Sage was advised to re-school this gelding prior to his next engagement. During the loading process, SHANE broke through the front gate resulting in OUT OF YOUR LEAGUE (S Khumalo) becoming restless and breaking through.The Starting Stall Certificate for SHANE has been withdrawn.FINAL OCCASION (C Maujean) was restless in the stalls.In view of the Starter's report with regard to SHANE, this colt has been suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until recertified tractable loading and jumping on terms with a companion.Suspension dates: 10 January 2020 to 16 January 2020.SHANE may not be presented for repassing during this period.Trainer P A Peter advised .In view of the performances of FLAME FELLA (G Lerena),(distance 34,00 lengths, betting 29/4) and FINAL OCCASION (C Maujean),(distance 7,25 lengths, betting 73/20), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses.At the 600m, THE LITIGATOR (J Penny) was bumped on two occasions by SHANE (C Habib) which rolled out.At approximately the 200m, TAPENZEE (N Juglall) and FINAL OCCASION (C Maujean) were carried out by DON PIERRO (AUS) which shifted out away from the crop and was immediately straightened.Jockeys R Danielson (FRENCH LEAVE) and C Habib (SHANE) reported that they felt something amiss with their respective mounts in running.The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses.OUT OF YOUR LEAGUE (S Khumalo),the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.Trainer F P Habib advised.FRENCH LEAVE was ridden by Jockey R Danielson.GOLD GRIFFIN was ridden by Apprentice L J Ferraris THE LITIGATOR raced unshod IMPERIAL RUBY new ownership: Messrs A Pawson, X Spies & Mrs S Viljoen & Corne Spies Racing (Pty) Ltd,colours:Yellow, royal blue stars, collar and cuffs, yellow sleeves and cap, royal blue stars and peak (Sold with engagements). The veterinary surgeon reported:FLAME FELLA not striding out right front.FRENCH LEAVE examined post race, nothing obvious detected.FINAL OCCASION examined post race, nothing obvious detected.TAPENZEE not striding out right hind.SHANE not striding out right front.
