THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TRUE DESIGN (*N Nastili) was nervous in the stalls. b) BLUE PALACE (G Wright) was nervous in the stalls, reared as the start was effected and thereafter was slow into stride. c) CAN'T SAY NO (X Ndlovu) and QUEEN OF JAZZ (Y Ramzan) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed as a result of the incident in the previous race. b) After falling in Race 5, Jockey X Ndlovu was examined by the course Medical Officer and passed fit to continue riding. c) CAN'T SAY NO (X Ndlovu) over raced in the early and middle stages. d) SUCHALIFE (E Webber) shifted sharply outwards away from the crop at the 300m and thereafter commenced to hang out. e) SPLICETHEMAINBRACE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
