THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SAIGON SUZIE (C Zackey) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) STROOPSOET (D Schwarz) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) VALIEVA (R Danielson) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 200m, HEIRLOOM (K Matsunyane), which had come to the end of its run was brushed in by RIDE ON (G Lerena), which commenced to hang in. b) Jockey C Zackey reported that SAIGON SUZIE did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey D Schwarz reported that STROOPSOET made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) RIDE ON (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer P A Peter advised (MduP).
