THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JOY AND PEACE (R Fourie) jumped outwards. b) AS FATE HAS IT (M van Rensburg) jumped slow, losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed as there was a technical issue with the live camera feed to the Boardroom. This was reported to the Racing Operator, which was attended to and was partially resolved. Thereafter, during the running of the race, further technical issues were experienced, with the live feed to the Stipendiary Steward's Boardroom patrol film monitors. This led to the all-clear being delayed as the Stewards had to first satisfy themselves as to the integrity of the race and accuracy of the result. b) At approximately the 700m AS FATE HAS IT (M van Rensburg) had to be steadied of the heels of GIDEON'S DAUGHTER (X Ndlovu), which shifted inwards slightly. c) At approximately the 350m Jockey M van Rensburg (AS FATE HAS IT) dropped his crop. d) BACK FOR MORE (K Minnie) commenced to hang in from the 300m and was corrected. e) JOY AND PEACE (R Fourie) was hanging in from the 200m. f) RED SASH, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer TJ Laing was advised. (LM) g) JOY AND PEACE, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
