THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SYMBOL OF LOVE (J Gates) kicked the back gates in the stalls and jumped awkwardly, losing two lengths. b) ANUSCHKA'S WORLD (E Webber) jumped inwards. c) EUROPEAN SUMMER (X Ndlovu) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race. b) ANUSCHKA'S WORLD (E Webber) jumped inwards and made contact with the right-hand side of the front gate. Thereafter, ANUSCHKA'S WORLD (E Webber) hindquarters were turned when bumped by SLIM JANNIE (M van Rensburg), which shifted inwards shortly after the start. c) ELLORIX (K Matsunyane) was hanging in from the 300m. d) ANUSCHKA'S WORLD (E Webber) had to be switched in to obtain a clear run at approximately the 150m. e) Jockey E Webber was charged with a contravention of Rule 61.5.16 in that he refused to obey a direct instruction from the Starter. Jockey E Webber signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000.00 f) SYMBOL OF LOVE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer E Kaknis was advised.
