THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO 4 AND 5 EXITING THE STALLS FOR NO REASON. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) POWER RANGER (N Takawira) stood, losing many lengths. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Trainer D Swanson was advised (WD). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) During the loading process, the starting stalls for NANDINE (J Penny) (stall gate 1) and CAPTIVE MOON (M Nyamagwete) (stall gate 3) opened for no apparent reason. These horses were restrained by their respective Riders, returned to the start, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to POWER RANGER, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion on a Raceday. POWER RANGER may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer D Swanson was advised. c) CAPTIVE MOON (M Nyamagwete), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
