WILKIES (K A BREWER) PROVED RELUCTANT PROCEEDING TO THE START AND HAD TO BE LED BY A HANDLER. THIS CAUSED A DELAY TO THE START OF THIS RACE. THE STARTER HAD NO REPORTS. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) WILKIES (K A Brewer) proved reluctant proceeding to the start and had to be led by a Handler. Trainer S J Gray was advised that should this mare behave in a similar manner in future, it may be suspended. b) Jockey M K Katjedi reported that BEADED GOWN felt awkward in its action in the concluding stages. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. Race 6 contd. c) Jockey J R Syster signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.3 in that he failed to ride ROYAL HORIZON out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards, prejudicing his chance of obtaining fifth (5th) place. Jockey J R Syster signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R2600. d) WAITFORGREENLIGHT (J Gates), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer F P Habib advised (MS). e) TWICE AS WILD (*N Nastili), placed third, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee H Chauque, acting on behalf of Trainer G J Maroun, was advised (DR). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) NEERAH raced equipped with alumites (declared 25 November 2024 at 08H34). b) AUTUMN VAR raced equipped with blinkers (declared 25 November 2024 at 14H56).
