THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) MY BEST SHOT recorded a TCO2 concentration of more than 36 mmol/L. Trainer AC Greeff was advised that a second blood specimen would be collected. This specimen was of an acceptable TCO2 level. b) Shortly after the start SAKURAJIMA (KA Brewer) was bumped outwards by POMO'S BIG SPENDER (K Matsunyane), which jumped outwards. c) PLAY ACT (M van Rensburg) shifted out away from the crop from the 250m and was corrected. d) CAN'T SAY NO (X Ndlovu) was carried outwards slightly by POMO'S BIG SPENDER (K Matsunyane), which shifted out away from the crop at approximately the 250m. e) MY BEST SHOT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
