THE STARTER REPORTED: a) YOU BRING ME JOY (S Moodley) reared in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 300m, CALLMEWHENUNEEDME (*T Mayhew), which shifted out away from the crop, made contact with ONE FELL SWOOP (K Matsunyane). This resulted in WHERE'S THE PARTY (C Maujean) and MRS BROWNING (G Lerena) being carried out and TROPPO VELOCE (D Schwarz) being steadied to avoid the heels of MRS BROWNING (G Lerena). b) In the concluding stages, GIMMEFABULOUS (J P van der Merwe) was steadied to avoid the heels of GARLANDSOFGREENERY (C Habib), which shifted in. During this incident, Jockey P Strydom (WHITE PEARL) anticipated that his running would be taken up and briefly paused with his riding. Jockey C Habib (GARLANDSOFGREENERY) appeared before the Board and was advised to take more care when shifting ground in races. c) Jockey S Moodley (YOU BRING ME JOY) did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. Thereafter, Jockey S Moodley reported that he felt something amiss with this filly in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey R Fourie (WINTER GREETING) did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages. Thereafter, Jockey R Fourie reported that he felt something amiss with this mare in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Jockey G Lerena reported that he felt something amiss with MRS BROWNING in running.
