THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GREEN CHERRY (C Maujean) was restless in the stalls. b) FOLLOW THE MASTER (M K Katjedi) reared in the stalls and thereafter was slow losing one length. c) KISSING MASTER (K Matsunyane) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. d) GEAR SHIFT (K A Brewer) and SKY PILLAR ROCK (D De Gouveia) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) KISSING MASTER (K Matsunyane) ducked out sharply shortly after the start. b) KISSING MASTER (K Matsunyane) hung out from the 400m. c) KING BEIJING (J R Syster) did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. Thereafter, Jockey J R Syster reported that he felt something amiss with gelding in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey J Gates reported that HIGHVELD STORM did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) Jockey G Lerena reported that he felt something amiss with PIBE DE ORO in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. f) LLOYD WRIGHT (P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B B Ruiters advised (MS).
