THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HARLEY'S FATE (*J Botes) was stubborn to load. b) MISS LADYATERIX (C Habib) was restless in the stalls. Removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. Became restless as the start was effected and lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Leaving the 1100m MISS LADYATERIX (C Habib) which had shifted in sharply, hesitated and took an awkward stride. Thereafter MISS LADYATERIX (C Habib) was not fully persevered with. In view of this, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) At the 150m IZIBULO (*D Pillay) was eased momentarily when close to the heels of PROM QUEEN (D Daniels) which shifted in marginally. c) In the concluding stages PRINCESS PALACE (K Matsunyane) and SPIRITED FLIGHT (A Mgudlwa) were tightened between GOLDEN ASPEN (M V'Rensburg) and AVERNIAN PRINCESS (C Zackey) which rolled in. d) HAPPY ANALIA (*B Marx-Jacobson) shifted out sharply away from the crop in the concluding stages. e) The breast-plate on AVERNIAN GODDESS (C Zackey) became detached in the running. f) Jockey S Veale reported that PRINCESS HANNAH took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer P M Gadsby will be asked to report back on the condition of PRINCESS HANNAH upon return to stables. g) In view of the Starter's report with regard to HARLEY'S FATE (*J Botes), this mare's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 09.12.2024 to the 15.12.2024. HARLEY'S FATE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer N Kotzen will be advised. h) EMERALD GREEN (C Maujean), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer L W Goosen advised (NS). i) RAFEEF'S CHOICE (S Moodley), unplaced, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Dixon acting on behalf of Trainer W A Nel advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) PROM QUEEN raced equipped with blinkers and a compression mask (advised 04.12.2024/10h08). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) PRINCESS HANNAH : Nothing obvious detected. b) MISS LADYATERIX : Nothing obvious detected.
