THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ROY TAKING OFF (C Habib) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 1100m, ROY'S T'S (D Daniels) was carried wide by PORFIRIO (S Moodley) which over-raced in the early and middle stages, proving difficult to assist and shifted out. b) The saddle on PHAKA IMALI (C Dicken) slipped forward in the running resulting in Jockey C Dicken removing both his feet from the stirrup irons at the 800m and thereafter him being unable to assist this gelding. c) On the latter part of the turn, RAFIKI (R Venniker) was switched to the outside of ROY'S T'S (D Daniels) which had come to the end of its run and thereafter RAFIKI (R Venniker) raced wide. d) Jockey C Zackey reported that MISS LIALAH took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) BRAVE VOYAGER (S Veale), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D S Bosch advised (DZ). f) BRASS BELL (K Matsunyane), placed fourth, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D C Howells advised (SP). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) MISS LIALAH raced without blinkers and with cheek pieces on (advised 05.12.24/8h04). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) MISS LIALAH : Cut into and not striding out left front. b) BRASS BELL : Coughing.
