THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PANTHERA UNCIA (M van Rensburg) stumbled leaving the stalls. b) OLD FASHIONED (L Nhlapo) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) On arriving at the start, Jockey N Klink expressed concern with CYBER SPIRIT's action while proceeding to the start. This filly was examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn. b) At approximately the 400m LETONA (C Habib), which commenced to hang out and CHASING THE CROWN (RA Venniker), which shifted in, came together and bumped on two occasions. c) In the concluding stages, Jockey G Lerena's (ESPINOZA) crop got entangled with his right-side rein. d) Apprentice T Mayhew reported that PURSUIT OF FAME did not stride out freely in running and he did not persevere with his riding from the 350m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) In view of the performance of JET QUERARI (J Penny), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. f) LONELY AS A CLOUD, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
