THE STARTER REPORTED: a) NONE OTHER (M van Rensburg) jumped inwards. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed due to an electrical storm in close proximity to Turffontein racecourse. b) Shortly after the start VJ'S ANGEL (C Habib), which jumped outwards and NONE OTHER (M van Rensburg), which jumped inwards came together and bumped. c) Jockey MK Katjedi appeared before the Board and was questioned regarding his ride on FIERY PEGASUS. He explained to the Board that his instructions were to race handy. However, he was unable to secure a handy position and raced further back in the field than he anticipated. Jockey Katjedi therefore elected to obtain cover as opposed to racing wide on the turn. He further added that in the straight, this filly did not display her usual turn of foot and stayed on one-paced. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) WHITE PEARL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer MF de Kock was advised.
