THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ASINANTANGA (C Zackey), AHEAD OF THE FACTS (A Andrews) and COSMIC RHYTHM (O Noach) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) DOUBLE DASH (*I Taka) proved difficult proceeding to the start and had to be led by a Handler. Trainer D McLachlan was advised that should this filly behave in a similar manner in future engagements, she may be suspended. b) Approaching the 200m EXPRESS YOURSELF (R Fourie) shifted out away from the crop, was straightened and thereafter showed a tendency to hang out and shifted out until the finish. c) Jockey C Zackey reported that ASINANTANGA failed to respond to his urgings in the straight and he did not persevere with his riding in the latter stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) GOLDEN GREY (S Veale) and COSMIC RHYTHM (O Noach) were hanging out in the latter stages. e) EXPRESS YOURSELF, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
