THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GEORGE'S MAGIC (D Daniels) and BLACKJACK RANDALL (K Matsunyane) lost 1 length. b) TREATY OF PARIS (C Habib) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) BLACKJACK RANDALL (K Matsunyane) raced green b) At the 150m GEORGE'S MAGIC (D Daniels) which raced green, was switched to the outside of BLACKJACK RANDALL (K Matsunyane) to continue its run. Thereafter TREATY OF PARIS (C Habib) which raced green and shifted in was eased when close to the heels of GEORGE'S MAGIC (D Daniels) which shifted out sharply away from the crop and was immediately corrected. c) Jockey D Daniels signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2. (Appendix E), in that he misused his crop by striking GEORGE'S MAGIC forward of the saddle in the concluding stages. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1000 was imposed. d) HOLDS THE KEY (T Godden), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M D Miller advised (SP).
