THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SLIM JANNIE was stubborn loading, fly-jumped leaving the stalls and dislodged Apprentice D Pillay. b) EVIES FIRST (D Schwarz) and GOLDEN LINK (C Maujean) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) SLIM JANNIE fly-jumped leaving the stalls, stumbled badly and fell, dislodging Apprentice D Pillay. This precluded Apprentice D Pillay from being able to weigh in. In terms of Rule 66.2 the Stewards were satisfied that SLIM JANNIE had carried the correct weight. b) ANUSCHKA'S WORLD (C Habib), which shifted outwards, had to steady momentarily off the heels of FAIRY KNIGHT (R Fourie), which shifted inwards at approximately the 200m. c) FAIRY KNIGHT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
