THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DINERO (S Naidoo) was stubborn loading and jumped slow, losing two lengths. b) PLUTUS POWER (K Minnie) was stubborn loading and jumped slow, losing five lengths, causing a delay. c) GREENLIGHT EXPRESS (E Webber) was reluctant and stubborn loading and thereafter was slow into stride, causing a further delay. d) HIERSDIEDING (M van Rensburg) and MACARINO MAMBO (K Steyn) were nervous in the stalls. e) DANCING IN WINTER (D Schwarz) stumbled leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) DANCING IN WINTER (D Schwarz) stumbled shortly after the start and lost a significant amount of ground. b) DINERO (S Naidoo) failed to muster speed in the early stages of the race and raced detached from the field for the entire race. c) GREENLIGHT EXPRESS (E Webber) was hanging in from the 200m and took a number of awkward strides at the 100m. d) WINTER IN PARIS (C Maujean) was hanging out from the 200m and took an awkward stride shortly before the finish line. e) TORNADO KING (Y Ramzan) shifted in sharply away from the crop and had to be steadied off the heels of SILVERY SURFER (K Matsunyane) at approximately the 150m. f) MACARINO MAMBO (K Steyn) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended for a period of 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr E Reynders) g) In view of the report from the Starter regarding GREENLIGHT EXPRESS (E Webber), this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 04/01/2025 to 10/01/2025 inclusive). GREENLIGHT EXPRESS may not be presented for re-passing during this period. h) In view of the report from the Starter regarding PLUTUS POWER (K Minnie), this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable to load and jump on terms with a companion.
