THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) There was a delay to the release of the official result due to internet connectivity issues. This was reported to the Racing Operator. b) Jockey JP van der Merwe reported that ORBIT, which failed to respond to his urgings from the 400m and was not persevered with from the 150m, did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. c) Between the 400m and the 150m BLACK CHEETAH (R Fourie) was carried outwards by PARENTAL GUIDANCE (C Zackey), which was hanging out and shifted out. Thereafter, BLACK CHEETAH (R Fourie) shifted in sharply and was immediately straightened. Jockey C Zackey appeared before the Board and was advised to straighten his mounts sooner than he had on this occasion. d) BLACK CHEETAH, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
