THE STARTER REPORTED: a) REPETITION (C Zackey) was stubborn loading. b) GLOBAL REEF (R Fourie) kicked the back gates of the starting stalls and jumped with its head up. c) QUELIMANE (S Khathi) was nervous in the stalls and jumped slow, losing one length. d) HE'S A GAUL (K Minnie) jumped slow, losing one length. e) KINNIKINNIK (M Yeni) stumbled leaving the stalls, losing one length. f) WELSH STARLET (E Webber) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) An Inquiry will be held into the reason BOMBER BAY (C Little), TAKE A MULLIGAN (Y Ramzan) and A MONTH OF SUNDAYS (C Maujean) suffered varying degrees of interference at approximately the 300m. b) Jockey K Minnie reported that HE'S A GAUL did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) REPETITION, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer TJ Laing, acting on behalf of Trainer SJ Snaith, was advised. (LM) d) GLOBAL REEF, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Mitchley was advised.
