DURING THE LOADING PROCESS, CAPTIVE MOON (P MXOLI) BROKE THROUGH THE FRONT GATES. THIS INCIDENT CAUSED A DELAY TO THE START OF THIS RACE. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process CAPTIVE MOON broke through the front gates, was restrained by Jockey P Mxoli, returned to the start, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Trainer G Macleod was advised. (WD). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 250m, CITRUSDAL (Wes Marwing) was steadied momentarily when tightened for galloping room between ABAYYAAN (J R Syster), which hung out from the 400m, proving difficult to assist, and CAPTIVE MOON (P Mxoli), which rolled in marginally when it had improved and finished the race off strongly. b) In view of the performance of ABAYYAAN (J R Syster), which hung out from the 400m, proving difficult to assist, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) In view of the Starter's report regarding CAPTIVE MOON, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended indefinitely in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion on a Raceday. CAPTIVE MOON may not be presented for re-passing during the next seven days. Trainer G Macleod was advised. d) CAPTIVE MOON (P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G Macleod was advised (AH). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) ABAYYAAN examined post race, nothing obvious detected. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
