THE STARTER REPORTED: a) UNDER THE RAINBOW (D Schwarz) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. b) BREATH OF MAGIC (C Maujean) was slow losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) As the start was effected, UNDER THE RAINBOW jumped awkwardly outwards, resulting in Jockey D Schwarz becoming unbalanced and losing the footing to his right-side stirrup iron, which he was unable to regain placing him at a disadvantage. Thereafter this colt raced detached from the field throughout. b) In view of the performance of GALLADORN (K Matsunyane), (distance 10,25 lengths, betting 14/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) OH MY GUCCI GIRL (M K Katjedi), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer F P Habib advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) TODOQUE was ridden by Jockey P Mxoli (declared 16 January 2025 at 12H18). Stipes permission as Jockey C Zackey experienced flight complications. b) UNDER THE RAINBOW : Jockey D Schwarz weighed out at 56,8kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight. c) KING RAHUL: Apprentice T Mayhew weighed out at 54,2kg, not claiming his apprentice allowance as declared.
