THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CALL ME MASTER (G Lerena) was stubborn loading. Trainer R R Sage to be advised to reschool this gelding prior to his next engagement. b) COUNT YOUR CHANCES (C Maujean) was slow losing two lengths. c) SAHARA DAWN (C Zackey) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Apprentice G Dookhit, the rider of KYLIE'S ANGEL rode a satisfactory qualifying ride. b) In view of the performance of CALL ME MASTER (G Lerena) , (distance 9,30 lengths, betting 33/10), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c PERINI PALACE (M K Katjedi), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J A Visser advised (MS). When questioned regarding the improved performance of this filly, Trainer J A Visser could offer the Board no suitable explanation. His attention was drawn to the Rules pertaining to In and Out running. JOCKEY CHANGES: a) SAMTHEWISEMAN was ridden by Jockey J Penny (declared 16 January 2025 at 09H40).
