THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) ROYAL KINGDOM (M Yeni) was stubborn loading, nervous and reared in the stalls, was taken out, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded. This caused a delay.
b) SUPREME JUDGE (C Zackey) was stubborn loading and nervous in the stalls.
c) GALILEO STAR (S Naidoo) was stubborn loading.
d) MIO DESTINO (DB Geerthsen) was nervous in the stalls.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) GALILEO STAR (S Naidoo) raced green and shifted both ways away from the crop from the 300m.
b) In view of the report from the Starter regarding GALILEO STAR (S Naidoo), this colt's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 18/01/2025 to 24/01/2025 inclusive). GALILEO STAR may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
c) In view of the report from the Starter regarding ROYAL KINGDOM (M Yeni), this colt's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 18/01/2025 to 24/01/2025 inclusive). ROYAL KINGDOM may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
d) DIRECT HIT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Mtengwana, acting on behalf of Trainer AC Greeff, was advised. (LM)
