THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LAUDIUM (M Mjoka), LOVEISALLYOUNEED (O Noach) and SILVER QUALITY (K Steyn) were restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, Jockey C Zackey immediately felt something amiss with LILY BOMB and eased this filly out of the race. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer DM Kannemeyer was questioned regarding the performance of LILY BOMB. He advised the Stewards that this filly showed an unwillingness to work at home, is in season on a regular basis and is difficult to work with on occasion. Trainer Kannemeyer was advised to report back to the Stewards any relevant findings. b) The saddle on LAUDIUM (M Mjoka) slipped back in running. This was confirmed on the video footage. c) In view of the report from the Starter regarding SILVER QUALITY (K Steyn), Trainer JMT Stewart will be advised to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. d) SHESGOTCLASS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DA McLachlan was advised.
