THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MUTARAZI (M K Katjedi) jumped inwards leaving the stalls, losing one length. b) KUDZU (G Lerena) jumped awkwardly inwards leaving the stalls making contact with the right-side front gate. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) SOLAR SAIL (J Penny) over-raced in the early and middle stages. b) DARK SILVER (D De Gouveia) raced wide around the turn, into the straight and tired badly from the 200m, In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) At approximately the 200m, JUST VAR (*T Mayhew), which had come to the end of its run, was steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed heels of SPUMANTE DOLCE (R Danielson), which rolled in d) SPUMANTE DOLCE (R Danielson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
