THE STARTER REPORTED: a) POINTER (D De Gouveia) and POBLANO (M Yeni) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) YOU BRING ME JOY (*K J Lihaba) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, ALMOND SEA (G Lerena) was bumped by YOU BRING ME JOY (*K J Lihaba), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls. Thereafter ALMOND SEA (G Lerena) proved difficult to settle. b) Approaching the 400m, ALMOND SEA (G Lerena) and YOU BRING ME JOY (*K J Lihaba) were carried in by RODEO DRIVE (P Strydom), which was directed inwards away from the heels of POBLANO (M Yeni) to continue its run. c) RODEO DRIVE (P Strydom) took an awkward stride in the concluding stages. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) Jockey D De Gouveia reported that POINTER was blowing post race. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) ALMOND SEA (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
