THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BLAZING BEAUTY (+P Mongqawa) was restless in the stalls and thereafter jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. b) CYBER SPIRIT (+J Horing) and WINTER MIRACLE (+T Ncume) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) During the loading process, ACT ON SNOW reared dislodging Work Rider C Mabaya. This filly was examined by the Course Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. b) At approximately the 300m, WINTER MIRACLE (+T Ncume) had to ease when carried onto the heels of CYBER SPIRIT (+J Horing) by CHILLI MARMALADE (+N Ngqwangi), which was carried out by POTATO SALAD (+V Sithetho), which shifted out away from the crop. Work Rider V Sithetho was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he, as the rider of POTATO SALAD, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to WINTER MIRACLE (+T Ncume) and CHILLI MARMALADE (+N Ngqwangi) when he shifted out at approximately the 300m. Work Rider V Sithetho signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in one (1) Work Rider race. Suspension date: 15 February 2025. c) In the concluding stages, POTATO SALAD (+V Sithetho) had to ease when awkwardly placed on heels of CHILLI MARMALADE (+N Ngqwangi), which shifted in away from the crop Work Rider N Ngqwangi was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he, as the rider of CHILLI MARMALADE, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to POTATO SALAD (+V Sithetho) when he shifted in in the concluding stages. Work Rider N Ngqwangi signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in one (1) Work Rider race. Suspension date: 15 February 2025. d) Work Rider J Horing was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (Appendix E read with Guideline 3 on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking CYBER SPIRIT forward of the saddle during the running of this race. Work Rider J Horing signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in one (1) Work Rider race. Suspension date: 15 February 2025. e) Work Rider J Horing was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he, as the rider of CYBER SPIRIT, misused his crop by striking this filly more than twelve times (13) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Work Rider J Horing signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in one (1) Work Rider race. Suspension date: 18 February 2025. f) RADIANT HEAT (+K Mayhew-Munger), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
