THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FULL GO (J R Syster) was slow losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 150m, THAMBI (K A Brewer) was steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed between WHISPERS OF WAR (AUS) (K Matsunyane), which hung out from the 300m, and VAVA VEGAS (D Schwarz), which was carried in by FULL GO (J R Syster), which shifted in away from the crop and was immediately straightened. As a consequence, Jockey J R Syster (FULL GO) briefly dropped his right-side rein. Thereafter, in the concluding stages, VAVA VEGAS (D Schwarz) had to ease off the heels of FULL GO (J R Syster), which shifted in away from the crop when insufficiently clear. Jockey J R Syster was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he, as the rider of FULL GO, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to VAVA VEGAS (D Schwarz) when he shifted in in the concluding stages. Jockey J R Syster signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of seven days. Suspension dates: 10 February 2025 to 16 February 2025 (both days inclusive). b) Jockey P Strydom reported that he felt something amiss with FLAG BEARER in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) Jockey M K Katjedi reported that INCREDIBLE INDRANI changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) FUTUREWOLFF (R Munger), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer H E Adamson advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) FUTUREWOLFF raced with a cornell collar (declared 24 February 2024 THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) FLAG BEARER not striding out left front. b) INCREDIBLE INDRANI not striding out right hind.
