THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JADE'S CABERNEIGH (C Maujean) was restless in the stalls, taken out, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded, causing a delay. b) CONCERTO (G Wright) and JAMBO SANA (S Naidoo) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed due to the thirty-minute interval between races and the veterinary check on JADE'S CABERNEIGH (C Maujean). b) ELLA'S DELIGHT (M Yeni) was hanging out from the 300m. c) Jockey C Zackey reported that IDITA took no interest in running and he did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Assistant Trainer DG Smith was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables. d) MISS SHAIVI (Y Ramzan) was hanging in from the 150m. e) Jockey C Maujean reported that he felt something amiss with JADE'S CABERNEIGH. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. f) BOMBER GIRL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised.
