THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DECREE (C Maujean) was restless in the stalls, taken out, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn, causing a delay. b) IGUGULETHU (C Zackey) was stubborn loading and thereafter was slow into stride. c) BOSNAY (L Mxothwa) was nervous in the stalls. d) MISTER WHISTLE (X Ndlovu) jumped slow, losing two lengths. e) MORNING CHESS (MK Katjedi) and GLOBETONIC (S Naidoo) jumped slow, losing one length. f) COASTAL PATH (R Fourie) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race and the late scratching of DECREE (C Maujean). b) Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with IGUGULETHU. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Assistant Trainer DG Smith was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables. c) TRAVEL MASTER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
