THE STARTER HAD NO REPORTS. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 1200m, BLOOMINGTON took a number of awkward strides and was eased out of the race by Jockey D Schwarz. b) Jockey G Lerena, the rider of KING OF NUMBERS, briefly dropped his left-side rein at the 300m. c) Jockey M Yeni reported that he felt something amiss with MK'S DREAMS in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) In view of the performance of LAVA FIRE (*G Samo-Burthia), (distance 10,00 lengths, betting 25/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) In view of the performance of GUY ALEXANDER (K Matsunyane), (distance 11,20 lengths, betting 40/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this horse. f) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning MK'S DREAMS, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority.
